Coming to You from the Mountains
This week I have the privilege of attending the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference in North Carolina. While this isn't like one of my normal blog posts, can I ask you to pray for me?
This will be a week of sessions, speakers, worship, and more information than I could possibly consume in a year. I will also have the opportunity to meet with professionals in the business and pitch my books.
A week like this takes me out of my "stay at home mom comfort zone" in so many ways. It will be exhilarating and also exhausting. There are a few things I'd love prayer for:
1. Pray that I'll be brave. That I'll have confidence in those appointments. That I'll choose to be social and do some networking when I want to go back to my room and be alone. That I'll pray big prayers.
2. Pray that I'll listen to God. I have a plan -sessions to attend and people to meet. Pray that I won't be so stuck on my plan that I forget that God always has a bigger plan.
3. Pray for my family. The last week of school is an incredibly tough time to leave. And we're coming off of being sick. I'm so thankful for my husband and parents who are doing it all in my absence. Pray it will be a time of not just surviving, but a fun, memorable week together.
I don't say it enough, but I appreciate you. If you read this blog, I consider you a part of my team and I feel your support. Thank you and have a wonderful week!
